This facility is used by all Penn Hills Fire Departments for training Firefighters.

Training and practice are essential to saving lives and keeping personal safe.

PHVFD. 225 Firefighter’s are committed to learning and performing, tasks and duties, to provide important emergency services.

PHVFD. 225 crews must always operate with caution and awareness when working emergency’s and training.

When split second decisions have to be made, muscle memory from training, can give you a great advantage.

A Penn Hills 225 Jr Firefighter performing training on hydrant operations. Establishing a water supply is a very important task. The faster you get water, the faster you can put the fire out. Fire hydrant connections are vital to our operations.

PHVFD 225 has a maze in our basement to use for training. Using a maze provides great practice for confined space and search and rescue operations.

Penn Hills Fire departments train together. This familiarizes different departments on how each one operates. On most working structure fires in Penn Hills, all PHFD’s will be on scene working together.
